The Tale of Daddy Longlegs is a story about a new person at Farmer Green’s farm. Rusty Wren sees the footprints first and wonders who could have made them. When they find out they are curious about him and ask lots of questions. Daddy Longlegs doesn’t seem to be able to hear all their questions or he chooses not to hear them. This is going to cause some problems as the story continues.

A Tale for Halloween is a story about a young boy named Antone and his sister Babette and their life in the woods. They are happy children but their parents wish Antone could go to school. They all work hard to help and one day when Antone is carving Jack-O-Lanterns to sell, Babette decides she would like to have one for her Halloween celebration. They save the biggest pumpkin for their party but when they go out to start the party things don’e go quite as they had planned.

This is the final part of Dame Grumble and her Curious Apple Tree. In this part we follow Freyo as he travels to the castle. He is happily received and gets the workshop of his dreams. Freyo’s first job is to build seven chests for the King. After the seven chests have been built there will be a huge celebration and this is where the Princess must choose her partner.

In part 3 of our Dame Grumble story a visitor arrives at their cottage. The visitor is welcomed in with a grumble and served dinner. After dinner Dame Grumble tells the visitor of all her woes and then Freyo and Dame Grumble sit with their guest and listen to stories about his travels. The next morning when they wake up the visitor has gone but some strange things are about to happen.

In this episode of Dame Grumble and her Curious Apple Tree, Dame Grumble has returned to the cottage and things are not going well. She is grumpy and complains about everything. Freyo tries to help but nothing he does makes any difference. Dame Grumble read a book while she was searching for her lost fortune about how to protect her apple tree and she spends a long time during the winter making a netting to cover her tree and protect her precious apples.
