? Hello friends! This week on Mindful Monday we are looking at the Power of Yet. We will talk about a book called The Magical Yet that talks about how we learn to do things by practicing and being patient. It takes time. We might not be able to do it YET but if we keep trying we will be able to do it. So find your Magical Yet and go give it a try!

Mindful Monday: Making New Friends
? Hello friends! This week on Mindful Monday we are going to talk making new friends. Have you gone back to school? Have you made any new friends? It is hard to be a new kid or a shy kid at school. Maybe you like being alone or maybe you just don’t know how to join the group. We are going to look at two books about making new friends and how Bear and William make new friends. Maybe you can take a look around and see if there is anyone that needs a new friend.
The Boxcar Children – Ch.2
The Boxcar Children chapter 2 continues our story with Jess, Henry, Violet, and Benny. They had a great sleep in the haystack and now are just waiting for dark so they can get moving again. When they head out they stop by a stream to get a drink and then try to decide which way to go next. The decision is made for them when the hear the Baker and his wife talking about where they are going. The children head to the opposite town. Will they be able to make it without being seen?
Mindful Monday: Becoming Calm
This week on Mindful Monday we are going to talk about how to become calm. We are going to look at The Lemonade Hurricane by Licia Morelli. In this book Emma is busy but likes to stop and rest sometimes. Her brother Henry, not so much, she calls him the Lemonade Hurricane because he likes lemonade and is just so busy. Emma tries to teach Henry how to just be calm. This book has a great message and wonderful pictures for helping kids calm themselves.
Mindful Monday: Routine
This week on Mindful Monday we talk about getting back to routines, sleep being one of the most important. Do you have a good sleep routine? What do you do when it is time for bed? Sometimes we don’t want to go to sleep at night, it’s normal. We’ll share two books that talk about not wanting to go to sleep for you to enjoy.
